On April 23, 2025, a special meeting was held at the Ga West Municipal Assembly Hall to officially swear in eight newly appointed Government Appointees of the 9th Assembly of the Ga West Municipal. This ceremony was organized under the directives of the Regional Coordinating Council.

In the key note address, Hon. Sedem Afenyo emphasized on the significance of the appointees’ roles and urged them to remain focused and committed to their duties. He emphasized on the importance of collaborating with the Municipal Assembly and directed them to serve with integrity and dedication towards national development.

The official Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy were administered by His Lordship A. Opoku, Magistrate of the Amasaman District Court.

The newly appointed members are as follows:

1. Mr. Simon Adzidaglo
2. Mr. Alfred Soku
3. Mr. Francis Botchway
4. Madam Beatrice Badasu
5. Madam Benedicta Gbemu
6. Madam Patience Letsu
7. Madam Genevive Ama Juma Kujien
8. Madam Naa Sakoa I.

The event was attended by key dignitaries including the Honourable Member of Parliament for the Amasaman Constituency, Hon. Sedem Kweku Afenyo. The Ga West Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Isaac Kwakye, the magistrate of the Amasaman District Court, His Lordship A. Opoku, Elected members of the 9^th Assembly of the Ga West Municipal and the Heads of Departments and Units of the Ga West Municipal Assembly.

Following the ceremony, the new Appointees received congratulations and handshakes from the Member of Parliament and greetings from senior honourable members. The occasion marked a significant step in the Governance of the Municipality.
