The Executive Committee of the Ga West Municipal Assembly met on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, at the Municipal Assembly Hall to deliberate on key governance, financial, and development matters affecting the municipality.

The meeting which was chaired by Hon. John Desmond Sowah Nai, the Municipal Chief Executive, brought together Mrs. Louisa Benon, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Heads of Departments and Units, Chairpersons and secretaries of all Sub-Committees of the Assembly. At the meeting, the committee deliberated on reports submitted by the Assembly’s sub-committees which include Finance and Administration, Development Planning, Social Services, Works, Transport, Agriculture, Gender, Justice and Security. The reports summarized ongoing projects and programmes, outlined operational challenges, and proposed measures to improve service delivery across the municipality.

 As part of the proceedings, the reports were presented by the Sub-Committees, outlining ongoing activities, operational challenges and emerging concerns within the municipality after which the Executive Committee deliberated, coordinated shaped all recommendations submitted by the sub-committees.

Major submissions on the Assembly’s lands, revenue mobilization, security, environment, agriculture and transport were made to be presented to the General Assembly which would converge on 29^th and 30^th April

Following the deliberations, the Committee directed that, the monitoring of projects should be intensified, revenue collection systems be strengthened, and adequate logistics be provided to support operations. It also stressed on the importance of regular review meetings to track implementation and ensure accountability.

The meeting ended positively reinforcing the Assembly’s dedication to good governance, better service delivery and faster development municipal-wide.
