Municipal Planning Coordinating Unit of Ga West Holds a Strategic Meeting

The Municipal Planning Coordinating Unit (MPCU) held a key meeting on Thursday, 5th June 2025, at the Assembly Hall of the Municipal Assembly. The primary focus of the meeting was the preparation of the 2026–2029 Medium-Term Development Plan.

The agenda included updates and discussions on Chapters 1 to 3 of the draft plan, as well as a presentation on Chapters 4 to 6. The meeting was attended by the Municipal Coordinating Director and all Heads of Decentralised Departments in the municipality.

During her presentation, the Municipal Planning Officer, Mrs. Cynthia Bonsah, outlined the major development challenges across the 17 electoral areas. Notably, she pointed out that Akotoshie is currently without street lighting, which poses a significant security concern. Additionally, communities such as Sapeiman and Pobiman face challenges in identifying suitable locations for footbridges.

The meeting concluded successfully, with all scheduled presentations delivered and questions from attendees thoroughly addressed. Mrs. Cynthia Bonsah expressed her appreciation to all members present for their active participation and valuable contributions, describing the deliberations as fruitful and constructive.
