GA WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY CONDUCTS SCREENING AND ORIENTATION AHEAD OF PROPERTY RATE DATA COLLECTION EXERCISE

The Ga West Municipal Assembly (GWMA) on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, organized a screening and orientation programme for prospective data collectors in preparation for its forthcoming Property Rate Data Collection Exercise. The programme, held at the Assembly's premises, began at 8:00 a.m. and attracted a large number of applicants eager to participate in the exercise.

Delivering the welcome address, the Human Resource Manager, Justice Kojo Antwi Esq., officially opened the programme and underscored the importance of the initiative in strengthening the Assembly's property rate administration and enhancing internally generated revenue. He encouraged all applicants to actively engage in the process and demonstrate professionalism throughout the selection exercise.

Leading the orientation session, Mr. Farouk Braimah Rabiu outlined the objectives of the Data Collection Exercise on property rate, highlighting its significance in improving the Assembly's property database and revenue mobilization efforts. He explained the scope of the assignment, the roles and responsibilities of field officers, and the procedures to be followed during data collection. Participants were also guided through an online registration process by completing a recruitment form.

Following the registration, interested applicants underwent interviews as part of the screening process to assess their competence and suitability for the assignment.

Dr. Daniel Appiah subsequently conducted a practical session on the data collection questionnaire, providing participants with detailed guidance on its completion to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the data to be collected.

In his closing remarks, Justice Kojo Antwi Esq. expressed appreciation to all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment. He urged those who would be selected to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, diligence, and professionalism, emphasizing that the success of the exercise would play a vital role in strengthening property rate administration and boosting revenue generation for the Ga West Municipal Assembly.
