The Amasaman Public Employment Center on Friday, 27th June held a career Guidance Workshop for Job Seekers and National Service Persons around the Ga West Municipality. The Project was partnered by the European Union, german cooperation DEUTSCHE ZUSAMMENARBEIT , Ghanaian-European Centre for Jobs, Migration and Development, Support to the Private and Financial Sector (PFS) Programme, Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment and Ghana Education and implemented by GIZ (GmbH) .
In her presentation, Madam Stella Etse a consultant for GIZ educated participants on the core functions of the Labour Office. She assured participants that they will be assisted on how they can understand themselves and discover themselves to achieve their dreams. She further educated them that there is so much they can do for themselves.
The workshop involved interactive sessions, presentations and activities to foster their self-awareness, guide and provide participants with information through their decision-making process. Participants were engaged in one-on-one extensive career counseling sessions with trained counsellors from the Ghana Education Service and Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment.
In His closing remarks, Mr. Amadu Hussen, the Head of Amasaman Public Employment Center expressed His appreciation to all counsellors and participants. He assured them that His office is ready to provide any professional support to all workers and job seekers around the municipality.
