Ga West Municipal Assembly held a staff durbar on 23rd August 2023 at the Municipal Assembly Hall for staff and Management members. The purpose of the durbar was for members to interact, and address key issues bothering the Assembly and find lasting solutions to such concerns to enhance service delivery and also map out strategies for more success in the coming year.

The meeting also created a platform for the staff to get to meet and know the new Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Mr. Isaac Kwakye.

In his opening address the Municipal Coordinating Director, urged staff to present their appraisals on time as it was a management tool used in assessing and achieving Key Performance Areas of staff. Heads of departments were tasked to ensure they set SMART and realistic targets for their staff. He further admonished staff of the Assembly to know what is expected of them and work towards them and suggested that the staff durbar should be held at least twice every year to help officers know what is expected of them.

The MCD expressed gratitude to the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Clement Wilkinson for his immense support given to staff to enable them to perform their duties explicitly.

The Human Resource Manager, Mr. Justice Kojo Antwi, presented the Service Delivery Standard of the Local Government Service to all staff. He highlighted the following standards set out for all staff to guide their performance; Participation, Professionalism, Efficient and Effective use of Resources, Accountability, Transparency and Client Focus

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Clement Wilkinson shared with staff the need to work selflessly, improve their performances as well as punctuality to work in the full interest of the Assembly in order to succeed as one family. Staff were also given the opportunity to share their suggestions on issues relating to their welfare and the general success of the assembly.
