On Wednesday 13^th September,2023, the new Chief Director of the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council, Madam Lilian Baeka accompanied by some officials of GARCC met with the staff of Ga West Municipal Assembly to introduce herself and also outline her vision after she assumed office as the Chief Director.

The Municipal Coordinating Director of GWMA Mr. Isaac Kwakye welcomed her and introduced staff of the Assembly to her.

Madam Lilian Baeka used the opportunity to familiarise and further engage them in discussions to ascertain their challenges and possible suggestions on how to improve the day to day administration of the region. Some of the issues she discussed with members include punctuality to work, functionality of the Zonal Councils, DPAT, and Budget preparation.

She also encouraged members not to engage in Politics since it is against the code of conduct and reports and minutes should be prepared timeously and accurately. She assured staff that issues regarding their postings and establishment of some units such as the Urban Transport will be critically addressed.

The Municipal Coordinating Director thanked all staff for attending the meeting and assured the Chief Director that all the issues and concerns expected from management and staff would be promptly addressed.
