The Ga West Municipal Assembly held a two-day training on maintenance of computers and accessories on Thursday, 25^th of   May to Friday, 26^th of May 2023, at the Municipal ICT laboratory. The head of  Internal Audit, Madam Candid Kape Pwavra officially opened the training and urged everyone to take the training seriously to improve on their IT skills.

The purpose of the two day training was to train various heads of departments and staff on the maintenance of computers and accessories to enable them gain more knowledge in that area and also on the various IT policies as prescribed by Local Government.                

A Senior Programmer and Head of Management Information System unit (MIS), Madam Ida Yiadom Boakye, enlightened the heads of departments and staff on some steps to maintain their computer accessories. Some topics that were treated are, Keeping Business Devices clean and safe, Limiting the personal use of business equipment, Security of our work stations and Record keeping of all workspace equipment.

During the training a practical session was demonstrated on how to create a password on personal computers and administrative computers in order to secure information on their P.C.

Madam Candid Kape Pwavra, in her closing remarks thanked everyone for making it a point to be present at the meeting.

The training was impactful and educative, and will help the staff carry out their work effectively
